My Four–Seasons Collection:
SWEET SCENT
FALL TO SPRING
By: Cheen R. Gutierrez
From the stalk I saw a
lil bud came out
Will it grow strong
and beautiful? I doubt
Slowly this bud will
turn into flower
Can tender hands hold
it much longer?
Gardeners ensures each
day you’re watered
That soil beneath you,
from rocks they’d filtered
And you’re sunlighted
enough to follow
The beauty of the
world they want to show
Sooner pink petals
started to appear
And tiny leaves
painted green that’s so sheer
It grew taller and
prettier day by day
A reason why bees are
getting their way

EYES CALLED
SUMMER SNOW
By: Cheen R.
Gutierrez
The time when sun goes
up! up in the sky
Suddenly you’ll feel
that the winds blew dry
And yet you continue
to dream that high
Thank goodness it
wasn’t all for a lie
Go on! Here is the
splash you shall enjoy
In case of sprain,
don’t forget your life buoy
Now that you are a man
and not a boy
Oh! Can you differ a
girl from a toy?
When it happened and
you know it is time
Don’t hesitate, say a
word, stop the mime
Just think of words
for your statement to rhyme
And why not give a
glass of sweet-sour lime

AUTUMN
BLOOMS
By: Cheen R.
Gutierrez
Leaves from green to
orange turned in colour
Gently they fall from
the branch to the floor
Everyday seems they
are giving you more
Oh, what a mess! An
additional chore
With trials that you
encountered in life
May these transform
you as sharp as a knife
Beside you stands a
woman you call wife
Supporting you always
without a strife
Call it nature’s way,
you bear fruits sooner
Would you feel like
found a four-leaf clover?
Well, you should know
how to take it over
Our time so fast they
will ripe no later

THE WARMTH
OF LAKE FLOWS IN WINTER
By: Cheen R.
Gutierrez
Yes! Everywhere’s white
and as cold as ice
Hardships are gone
you’re now winning the prize
Day and night you prayed
for them to be wise
Well here they are now,
right before your eyes
At last! You have a life
that is in peace
No more pain and
discomfort, you’re at ease
Meekly close your eyes
just like one’s first kiss
Hear sweet lullaby hum
softly by your Miss
You are like heat waning
under your feet
Enervated. Ah! Just lay
on that sheet
Oftentimes they visit,
near you they seat
Again I saw blooms that
no one can beat

“A serious man” my
impression to say
Working long and
hard, a free time? No way
So I rejoiced when
he asked to play
Then those thoughts
begun to fade away
When I was young
like three-feet high
A glimpse of pain
blew up my mind
He was there,
grabbed my hand and sighed
Saying, “Dear
child, are you alright?”
Indeed from him I
came from
From him, he and I
came from
He might look oh
not so old
And his heart is
pure like gold
