(family, church and early school years)
Cheen Fernandez Rodriguez Gutierrez is my so far complete
name. I was born on the 19th day of February at Amisola Hospital in Manila in
year 1995. My beloved parents are Mr. Joselito
Tayao Gutierrez and Mrs. Melany Fernandez Rodriguez. I am the elder child
and I have one brother named Khein.
My father is a Sr. AutoCAD Operator and he’s working
abroad and that makes us longing for him so much. My mother is a dedicated accountant working at Makati.
Both of them are loving, caring, responsible, etc. and most of all God-centered
parent. Me and my brother had 5 years gap and we’re opposite sex that’s why I
think that it creates a thin wall between us. Our family is a CHURCH OF CHRIST member since when both
of my grandparents were called inside this Church. Also, our family is engage
in Church duties.
SCHOOL LiFE
I consider it an interesting
part of my life. It’s really an adventure and I am delighted to impart more it
with you.
I began to discover the
wonders of learning with my superb guru no other than my adorable mother. In Manila, I finished my years in
pre-school at Holy Angels Learning
Centre. However, I wasn’t able to have my preparatory years because my
teacher accelerated me to primary level. I was six years old when I entered Barrio Obrero Elementary School to take
my primary years of learning but I only acquired there my Grade I to II years. We
transferred in Imus, Cavite where I
continued my studies at Buhay na Tubig
Elementary School until I reached Grade V. Then, finally I completed my
primary level and continue my 1st years in high school at Divine Jesus Learning Centre. I
graduated as top four of the class in academic year 2006-2007.
We need to transfer in Caloocan then, so I studied at Lakandula High School for my 2nd
year in HS, but it has some culture-shock effect on me. Those days really gave
me a kind of traumatic experience. Well then, I didn’t make it up to the second
grading and we moved again at my auntie’s house in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan. By studying there, I was able to have
my cousin as my classmate also and that was great. I’d done 3/4 of my second
year high school life at Cornerstone
Academy Inc. Right after the recognition day we finally went back at our
house in Cavite. At General Emilio
Aguinaldo National High School – Annex, I accomplished my 3rd and
4th years in HS. I consider my year stay at BNTES, DJLC, and GEANHS
– Annex as my most treasured years in school so far.
More about Me
I really love our surnames for it all ends in –ez
and it’s cute for me. If you’re getting curious about where on Earth my name
came from, well it’s from Yu Mei Shin
Co. – the first company that my father had worked at. My parents revised the
word Shin and tada! They came up with Cheen. While I have that unusual name
origin, my brother, as for me got more of it. His name came from Sugar CANE
anyway. I admit that I’m a certified
papa’s girl for a reason that papa affects me most or maybe because I
really miss him a lot. I am a collector of school uniforms, agree?
My friends
called me Chinchan or Chan which
became my official nickname. I can say that I’m
a boring person, a weird and a callow one trying to be more optimistic but
I also welcome other descriptions that people thought of me. I love adventures like when we went in
one of Panay’s unknown cave, and other outdoor activities with family and
friends; food like my mom’s carbonara and
any other pasta dish craves me, ice
cream is really my comfort food; I also love
songs and some of my favourite bands are: Silent Sanctuary, Secondhand Serenade, Faber Drive, New Found Glory, FM
Static and others; and I love panda.
To add two
suffixes in my name, CPA and MBA is one of my goals in life. I want to be successful
in life to help my family. One of my favourite quotations is “Helping a man who isn’t helping himself is entirely
worthless.” - Anonymous
My mom, brother, three cousins
and I are now residing at Lot 680 C5C
Sagana, Brgy. Culiat, Quezon City. We transferred to make school and church
accessible but we had our own house in Imus, Cavite.
Currently I’m a 2nd
year college student of New Era
University taking Bachelor of Science
in Accountancy. Reaching the most challenging level out of the three they
say, the college years. Thanks God I made it till here. First and 1st
semester of second year is over but the struggles continue. I experienced
making tough adjustments like when I lived at the dormitory and a lot more.
The closer I am to have my
dreams at hand the harder the things I must overcome. But with God’s help, I
know I can make it through it all.
